A Nigeria where citizens’ health is advanced through education and awareness to achieve a healthy and productive workforce.
To improve the quality of life of communities by empowering the citizens with the right knowledge and skills to take responsibility for their well-being.
To contribute towards a healthy and productive nation by engaging in advocacy, capacity building, and empowerment of the citizenry, especially the most vulnerable. We are committed to improving access to ideal healthcare by creating demand for better health services while advocating for better services from duty bearers.
Citizens’ Health Education & Development Initiative (CHEDI) is a legally registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) since 2012.
It was established in response to the observed inadequate information on preventive healthcare, concerning communicable diseases such as malaria, HIV/AIDS, and sexually transmitted infections, as well as non-communicable diseases like cancer, hypertension, diabetes, and malnutrition.
